Ankur Bengali Cultural Association Sacramento

Ankur - we are a Bengali Cultural Association serving Sacramento metropoliton area. ANKUR came together as a dream of a handful of visionaries to promote Bengali culture, tradition and art in the Sacramento region. Today we are all working together to fulfill and celebrate the various facets of Bengali culture. In doing so, Ankur encourages participation from one and all and provides a common platform for everyone to engage in social and cultural activities. Ankur organizes cultural events throughout the year and also hosts musical programs performed by artists visiting from India. Another purpose of the organization is social service, especially for the underserved minority population. Ankur also runs regular Bangla School imparting cultural education to all interested members. Along with the Bengali language children are also taught music and dance.
